Since 1993, Lemieux has marketed a biodegradable line of cleansers, the majority of which are sold in bulk. "We wanted to develop effective, biodegradable and ecological products with the pleasant and soft scent of essential oils."

The inspiration for the business came from Andrée-Lise Lemieux, who after spending years working in the restoration industry - where the amount of material left as waste is startling - was determined to create a quality product and manufacturing process that was harmless to the environment.
Now Mme Lemieux offers to her growing customer-base a selection of 80 cleaning products, all of which are both ecological and economical. "Our customers want to protect the environment and their money!"

The Lemieux products, home to Québec, are made according to three criteria: effectiveness at doing the job, bio-deterioration in the environment under normal conditions, and a gentle fragrance. In addition, all body care products have been adapted for people with allergy and sensitivity concerns.
Meanwhile, Lemieux products are economical because they are sold in bulk. Customers can buy regular sizes of products and then refill their containers at any Lemieux store locations. House care products are concentrated so as to require less packaging and to have a longer shelf life at home.
Among Lemieux's many products, which are all free of phosphates, nitrates and enzymes, are an impressive selection of detergents - from powerful stain-removers and laundry detergents to all-purpose surface cleaners and dish detergent to a variety of personal body creams, soaps, and shampoos. All products are made with essential oils and have an odour-free option for customers with sensitivities.
